Cougars News · Katelyn Ayres~CN Class of 2020~Track and Field

Katelyn Ayres is a 2020 graduate of Central Noble and is a seven year member of the Central Noble Track and Field team.  She is the daughter of Chris and Michele Ayres.  Katelyn leaves Central Noble as the Shot Put and Discus record holder.  In Shot Put she recorded a throw of 38’5.5″ and in Discus he had a heave of 131’7″.  These marks obliterated the past records that were held for decades.  Along with setting records, Katelyn achieved the following accomplishments:

-3x conference champ in discus
-1x conference champ in shoutout
-2x conference runner-up in shot put
-1x sectional champ in discus
-2x sectional runner up in discus
-1x sectional champ in shot put
-2x sectional runner up in shot put
-3x regional qualifier shot put & discus
-1x state qualifier discus
-3x indoor state qualifier shot put
-3x All KPC Area recipient
-1 year John Reed Relays Champ discus
-2 year Turtle Town Classic Champ Shot Put
-1 year Turtle Town Classic Champ Discus
-2020 New Haven Invite Champ

Katelyn’s future plans are to work right out of high school and then go back to school to become a teacher. Eventually se wants to buy a home and have a family.  She credits Coach Abbey Mault as her biggest inspiration in her track career.   Coach Mault always pushed her to be the best thrower she could be.  Katelyn also wishes to thank her family, friends and God for everything they have done for her.
